"Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you." Ephesians 4:32
The word tenderhearted here can be translated to "soft" or "delicate." Sometimes the hardships of life make us hard. They teach us to grin and bear. And sometimes we treat delicate things and people with roughness, or as if they have an eternal lifespan.
For some reason I gravitate towards the word tender. I think of it as compatible with compassion, and our world craves compassion.
When I read the end of this quote this is what my heart read: "you STILL believe it's a beautiful place to BE."
And what's more tender than that.....
