Malibu, Canada
The only time I have ever been out of the country was when I went to Malibu, Canada for Young Life camp. The 12 hours bus ride, 2 hour fairy ride, and 4 hour boat ride is WELL worth it. You look around and all you can see is God screaming at you through His beauty. Truly, a pocket of heaven on earth. Someday, when I don't have to run up and down the mile long boardwalk everyday, I will go back to serve there.
Snowmass, Colorado
My family was never big into the "lounging" type vacations. Dan Botti doesn't plan trips that aren't in some form productive and require physical strenuousness. Skiing, in our family, has fit that category quite perfectly. When I was 8 we went to Aspen, Colorado and stayed in a resort on Snowmass Mountain. We would literally walk of the door, clip in, and ride. This was about the turning point where my siblings and I starting to wait for our parents at the bottom. I loved everything about Snowmass and Aspen. I always joked about taking a year of school, or after I graduate, living down there and teaching ski lessons to all the little kids and old rich geezers.
